Study of Joshua

Mike Crowley has been presenting a study on the book of Joshua during the Bible study hour on Sunday mornings at the Matador church of Christ. The lessons cover the chronological history of the Israelites following the death of Moses and through their struggles to conquer the promised land. Mike is also bringing out some of the underlying themes of leadership and followship that the book emphasizes and then he applies these themes to modern day issues. Gospel Meeting in Crosbyton Hosts Evangelist, Thomas L. Thomas-Emphasis on Godly Families

This past week The Crosbyton church of Christ hosted their Spring Gospel Meeting for the people of Crosbyton, Texas and the surrounding communities. Their featured speaker was Thomas L. Thomas of the Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. His series entitled One With+In Christ dealt with the topic, “The Godly Family”, and had application to everyone listening. It was a rewarding time of learning and fellowship. Those that attended any of the meeting sessions left well fed both spiritually and physically. Large Crowds, Many Young People Enjoy Study and Fellowship

The largest crowd yet gathered at the Matador church of Christ last evening to hear Mike Crowley, Jr. of Midland bring a lesson from the book of 1st Peter chapter 3. The topic was relationships, especially marriage. If you didn’t have a chance to hear Mike’s presentation, you can access the online audio below.

Join us again tonight for another lesson from Mike’s gospel meeting series, Precious Faith. Tonight’s topic is, “The Power of Change: Living on Love!” Everyone is invited to come at 7:00 pm for the lesson and to stay for supper provided afterwards.

Good Crowds at Gospel Meeting Despite Freezing Weather – Continues Tonight at 7pm

Sunday, March 3, 2019, was the kick-off day of the annual Spring Gospel meeting of the Matador church of Christ. Unseasonable cold weather failed to deter many who gathered to hear Mike Crowley, Jr. begin a series of lessons from the book of First Peter entitled, Precious Faith. 

Mike will be continuing his series tonight when he discusses, “Healing the Curse: Living in Harmony” These messages, although written to New Testament-era Christians, still have application to Christians today. Mike has a way of bringing the scriptures alive and speaking in such a way as to make the writer’s message clear.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:00 pm. Supper will be served following the service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
