Our Confidence in God – Gospel Meeting with Fred Hall – Sept 30 – Oct 3

Fred Hall, of Savannah, Georgia will be bringing a series of lessons entitled, “Our Confidence in God” at the Fall Gospel Meeting of the Matador church of Christ in Matador, Texas. This event will begin on Sunday, September 30 and continue through Wednesday night, October 3. This is your invitation to join us for each presentation. Please mark your calendars and plan to be at as many of these lessons as you are able.

For Several years, the church here at Matador was privileged to participate in helping support Brother Hall during his training at the Sunset International Bible Institute in Lubbock, Texas. During this time, Fred was a staple every first Sunday at the Matador church of Christ where he would preach during Sunday morning worship service and when he and his family would join us in our monthly potluck luncheon afterward. The Hall family soon became a favorite with all who knew them. Upon his graduation, he and his family made the move to his home state of Georgia where he now preaches at the Liberty City church of Christ in Savannah. Well known for his Bible knowledge and high energy delivery, Fred is sure to inspire attendees on to further study while keeping them engaged throughout each installment of this series.

Please consider attending this event and bring your family or a friend along also. Be sure to be our guest for our famous potluck luncheon on Sunday and the complementary supper which will be provided each evening following Fred’s message. A warm welcome awaits you at the Matador church of Christ.

Shalom Video Series Available Online

The entire six video series featuring Mike Crowley Jr.’s presentation of the topic “Shalom, I Give My Peace to You” has been uploaded to an online portfolio, following the conclusion of the well-attended Spring Gospel meeting at the Matador church of Christ this week. Many have requested a way to share the information with friends and family. This link, (click here) redirects you to the Shalom portfolio page, where you can watch or download each video. Shalom, My Peace I Give to You Gospel Meeting with Mike Crowley, Jr. March 4 – 7

Are you drained, frustrated or living in fear? If Jesus promised to give us His peace, why would we still struggle with such burdens? Since Jesus is certainly willing and able to keep His Word, could there be something we need to learn, surrender, or change to experience His promise? Join us as we gather at His feet in the pursuit of the freedom of Peace.

Mike Crowley, Jr. will be bringing us a series of lessons entitled, “Shalom, I Give My Peace to You”. This Spring Gospel Meeting of the Matador church of Christ is scheduled to begin on Sunday, March 4 and continue through Wednesday night, March 7. Please mark your calendars and free up your schedules and plan to be at as many of these meetings as you are able. Everyone is welcome.

Fall Gospel Meeting Well Received

The final two nights of the Gospel meeting held at the Matador church of Christ included capacity crowds and amazing lessons by Mike Crowley, Jr. of Midland. “What Steals Joy? or Why Do I Have Spiritual Fatigue?” was the topic on Tuesday night, and was easily applicable to all. On Wednesday night, Mike explored the fascinating subject of eternity with a message entitled “What Will Heaven Be Like?” Following each service, supper was served to those that wanted to stay and enjoy fellowship with friends, old and new. All in all, at least 13 communities were represented at the event with visitors from Floydada, Crosbyton, Mcadoo, Lubbock, Paducah, Roaring Springs, Dickens, Northfield, Afton, Turkey, Flomot, Whiteflat and Matador in attendance.

Questions for God – Matador Meeting Drawing Large Crowds

Mike Crowley, Jr., the featured speaker at this fall’s Gospel Meeting, has explored four questions so far. Tuesday night and Wednesday night, October 3 and 4, he will again be bringing a message that will be sure to challenge and interest everyone in the audience. If you haven’t had an opportunity to hear the first four messages, you can listen to or watch them online. 

Don’t miss tonight’s message at the Matador church of Christ starting at 7 pm. Then join us afterward for soup and sandwiches.
