Valentine Banquet Delights Participants

A special evening was on the menu Thursday night, February 14, at the home of Phil & Carol Kerr. They hosted a Valentine dinner for members of the Matador church of Christ and other guests that will not soon be forgotten. Along with the help of Mike and Sara Fowler, the Kerr’s served steak, potatoes, salad, and rolls followed by an amazing heart-shaped chocolate strawberry cake made by Sara, for dessert. Everyone had a wonderful time and the food was so delicious!

New Mission Effort to Plant Church in Brazil

The Matador church of Christ is one of several congregations of the church that has pledged to support Rui & Nadia Diogo, Roberto & Marisa Signoretti and Leonel & Vanete Silva in their efforts to plant a new church in the Brazilian city of Ponta Grossa, Brazil.

Rui & Nadia Diogo visited the Matador church on September 16, 2018 to explain their method of planting churches. Rui spoke at the 10:00 am service and the 11:00 am service. He showed a video presentation and took questions as well. Afterwards he and Nadia joined us for a special potluck luncheon in their honor.

Final Night of Gospel Meeting, “Who Owns You?”

Fred Hall lays out the case for the Bible as the final authority for our lives. Does your life and worldview line up with the Word of God? Hard hitting and candid, this message should not go unheard by anyone.

An Abundant Life; What Does it Mean?

The abundant life (John 10:10) has been often described by many popular televangelists. Are they correct? What does the Bible say about it?

Join us for the last night of our Fall Gospel Meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Matador church of Christ. Everyone welcome!

Powerful Beginning as Fall Gospel Meeting Gets Underway

Fred Hall, of Savannah, Georgia, delivered three powerful messages to audiences at the Matador church of Christ on the first day of a four day gospel meeting. Audience members were at times quietly riveted and at others emotionally and verbally engaged as they were led by Fred in opening the scriptures to dig deeper into God’s word. All three sermons are available to watch as video (below) or to listen to as audio only (right hand column under “Latest Sermon Uploads”).

Fred will be speaking again on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening (Oct. 1, 2 & 3, 2018)at 7:00 pm at the church of Christ in Matador, Texas. Supper will be provided after each service. Everyone is welcome. See you there!
