Brotherly Love, Friendship Among Highest Christian Goals

Tuesday night, Mike Crowley, Jr. further developed his series of lessons entitled, “More Than a Friend”. Using the text of 2 Peter, chapter 1, he emphasized the need for Christians to be constantly growing toward a better understanding of what it means to love as Christ loved. Tonight will be the conclusion of this year’s spring gospel meeting event. Please join us at 7:00 pm when Mike explores the concept of “Befriending in an Un-friending World”. Part Four of Six-Part Series Asks, “Who is With You in Your Wilderness?”

Mike Crowley, Jr. continued his series, “More Than a Friend” with the presentation of Part 4 on Monday night, March 2. This message, entitled “Does Jesus Want Friends?”, led listeners to dig deep into the Biblical text to find out how great spiritual leaders of the past became the friends of God. Mike’s challenging topic will be continued tonight at 7:00 pm at the Matador church of Christ when he asks, “Can Family be Friends?”.

Following each evening’s presentation, fellowship and food is plentiful in the all purpose building next door. Please join us tonight at 7 pm and share in all these blessings.

Mike Crowley, Jr. Brings Message of Biblical Friendship

The first three messages in the series, “More Than a Friend”, were brought by Mike Crowley, Jr. of Midland, Texas to large crowds on Sunday morning and Sunday evening. Mike used the text of John 15 and Genesis chapter 3 to illustrate the type of friendship that God desires to have with us. Mike will continue his teaching tonight at 7:00 pm at the Matador church of Christ. Please join us for this thought-provoking study into God’s word. Supper will be provided afterward.

Mike Crowley Retiring – Celebration of 50 Years of Gospel Preaching

 

On Sunday, December 1, the Matador church of Christ will host a Retirement Party for long time pulpit minister, Mike Crowley. After 30 years at the Matador congregation and 50 years total in ministry, Mike will be retiring from full time work at Matador at the end of 2019. He will continue to carry on as one of the shepherds of the congregation and to fill in as needed.

Everyone is invited to attend the celebration. Bible class at 10:00 am, worship at 11:00 am followed by a BBQ luncheon provided by the church. After the luncheon there will be a program from 1:30-2:30 pm to honor Mike for his service.
